Ladies Tea

Table Captain Guidelines

  • This annual event is an important fundraiser for Charlotte Catholic High School and it is a great opportunity for us to educate and inspire women about our school in addition to raising funds for our students, faculty and campus!
  • The table captain, along with her seven tablemates, will be responsible for decorating the table. Guests should provide china, tea cups, napkins, flatware, etc. to coordinate with the chosen theme. CCHS Foundation will provide a tablecloth for the table but it is yours to decorate! Don’t forget to include your finest linens, china and flatware!  Beverage cups will be provided for water as well as a take-away for each participant.
  • You can use as much or as little as you want to incorporate your theme. There is a competition with prizes given to the winning tables. Tables are judged based on best use of color, best theme and best in show.
  • We will also ask you to serve as point of contact for gathering donation envelopes at the event.  Instructions will be provided as we get closer to the event.

Please contact Renee Spero at (704) 763-7699 or at nae1007@bellsouth.net if you have questions about your duty as Table Captain.

Instructions

  1. Choose your tablemates!  Remember, this is a fundraiser in addition to having fun so choose a combination of fellow women who share our school’s vision and passion to create a rewarding environment for our students and faculty.
  2. Send a note out to your tablemates confirming their attendance and ideas for tablescape. Ask them to purchase a ticket and register if you haven’t already done so on behalf of the table. This can be done online.
  3. Decide on a table theme. Check out the website to review photos from last year to get some ideas.
  4. Prior to the event, work with your tablemates to assign any responsibilities on theme.
  5. Arrive at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the event to decorate your table
  6. After the key note speaker concludes their portion of the event and asks for members to consider donations, hand out the envelopes to each member at your table to consider a donation
  7. Gather the envelopes when prompted by the Emcee
  8. Turn envelopes in to Renee Spero at the end of the event
  9. Pack up all belongings that were brought to the event.  No items should be left from your tablescape.
